FVGS Library Holdings

The holdings of the Fox Valley Genealogical Society have been donated to the Oswego Public Library, 32 West Jefferson Street, Oswego, Il 60543. The books are for reference only and must be used at the library. Assistance will be available at the library.

An old holdings listing is available for online searching if your web browser is enabled for Javascript and you are using a version of Internet Explorer as your browser or you can download the complete listing in "RTF" format by right mouse clicking on "download" and then performing a "save target as" function.

The options for searching are:

The search matches all four fields in combination to create the list. Any of the four fields left blank assumes that you do not want a specific search of that field.

The title can be searched for multiple key words/partial words. A "+" is entered between each key word. If the keywords field is skipped, the file is searched based on the remaining search criteria.

If a category is entered, the search is performed only for that category. Multiple searches need to be performed if you want more than 1 category but not all categories.

A specific state abbreviation to which the book applies may be entered.

A specific county to which the book applies may be entered.

To perform a second search, use the back button on your specific browser.

The library listing contains 850 books; therefore the search page takes some time loading so please be patient. It also takes a while to create the searched listing when listing all books.
