Our summer event is the FVGS Picnic on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Mike Fichtel's home, 421 Grand Avenue, Aurora.
This is a pot luck picnic open to all members of the society.
Soft drinks, dishes, and utensils are provided, as well as a grill.
Please bring a dish to share; and you may want to bring a folding chair.
Depending upon the weather, we will be in the yard, on the covered porch, or inside.
Check out our exciting annual Fall Conference which is
open for registration.
Mike's Index has just been updated for 2010.
This now indexes 257 Genealogical Journals/Newsletters (7370 issues in all) and results from effort
by many Fox Valley Genealogical Society members; and especially, from the work
of one of its genealogists over a 25 year period.
The latest book by The Fox Valley Genealogical Society,
Naperville Cemetery, A History of a Town in Stone,
has now been published.

The Fox Valley Genealogical Society's September meeting will be
"Tracking Your Internet Research on Your Computer" by
Harold Workman.
Harold is a technical savvy genealogist and member of FVGS.
He will discuss methods for keeping track of your research on the
same computer where you are doing much of that research.
We are sure you will be able to apply some of his techniques to your own
genealogical research as well.
The meeting will be in the Naperville Municipal Center, Room B&C
on Thursday, September 9th at 7:30 PM. |
